The kids involved in the AMIkids White Pines Information Technology vocational training program presented their skills at a board meeting at a local church. Their instructor, Justin Koepke, has been preparing them to take their CompTIA A+ certification tests which will allow students to obtain careers in the Information Technology field once they are released from the program. This certification could allow the students to start their own business troubleshooting or fixing computers.
Our kids gave a demonstration on what they’ve learned thus far in the course, and their excitement for gaining these skills in such a cutting-edge field is apparent. This opportunity for training and certification is providing the students with a chance to become certified in a field they may have never come in contact with. We are also working on lining up jobs for the kids that will be eligible to enter the workforce when they graduate from our program.
