Gilman Yachts just facilitated the contribution of Comanche, an 87' 1985 Feadship Yachtfish.
Comanche was built as the younger of two
GALLANT LADY Feadship Sportfisherman yachts. The donation of her older sister (PATRIOT) to AMIkids in 2014 is now one of the landmarks signaling the beginnings of the 'modern' AMIkids Yacht Donation program.
When Comanche and Patriot were built, there were no large pedigree "Yacht Fisherman" on the water. Today, large sportfish like these are an exquisite market, almost a collectible. The trends have dictated newer, larger, and faster Sportfisherman, yet none have the class, grace, or quality of a Feadship.
Work and craftsmanship have gone into upgrading her systems and features, yet her original Feadship features remain intact.
Comanche represents a fabulous opportunity for the modern sportfishing aficionado interested in a medium-sized classic yacht-fish with all the features and comfort of state or the art vessels.
